Welcome to Discovery Class - Reception, Year 1 and Year 2!

This term we will be learning about the fascinating world of dinosaurs! Children will get to explore a Dinosaur Den, become archaeologists and create their own dinosaur museum. A range of sensory trays and activity stations will also highlight different special events throughout the year.
We will be discovering how the world has changed and how it looks now, using atlases and globe to learn about the different continents and oceans.
We will be using the text ' How to Grow a Dinosaur' to learn about how to write instructions, developing our social skills through role play, fine motor skills and pencil control when writing, and speech and language through discussion.
In Art and Design, we will be practising different techniques in shading, before creating Fibonacci patterns and clay sculptures based on ammonites.
