Our school community embraces parents as a vital link in ensuring your child achieves their very best and we encourage parents/carers to work alongside us as partners in their child's education.
West Coker Primary School has an ‘open door’ policy and, should you have any concerns, your child's class teacher and/or myself are available most days.
We communicate with parents/carers in various ways e.g. Newsletters and email. Weekly information is available on the noticeboard and via our emailed 'What's on this week?' update. You can also follow us on Twitter for news, reminders and other useful pieces of information.
Parents/carers are invited to our weekly class assemblies where we celebrate the achievements of each class on a rotational basis. We also have our Sports Day in the summer, our Nativity at Christmas and our Leavers' Performance at the end of the school year. In addition to this parents and carers are invited to come along to various services and assemblies held in Church during the school year.
Parents' evenings are held in the autumn and spring terms and all parents are encouraged to attend. During the summer term a full report is sent home each year.
We always welcome help from parents in school. Whether you wish to listen to children read, volunteer to help with a school trip or support us with other learning experiences, we are always grateful for your help.
